Scott Oldham to take charge of Barnsley V Peterborough United

Scott Oldham will referee Sundays Sky Bet League One encounter between Barnsley and Peterborough. This is the final league game of the regular season kicking off at 12 noon and has been selected for coverage on Sky TV.

There is little riding on the final game for the Reds having secured 4th place in the division and a play off semi final against which ever team finishes 5th which currently is Bolton Wanderers. However, for the Posh this is a must win game if they have any chance of getting into the play offs at the expense of Derby County.

Scott Oldham has officiated a Barnsley fixture once this season, that being in the Papa Johns trophy fixture against Newcastle United Under 21 side back in September 2022. The reds won that game 2-0 with Oldham issuing two yellow cards.

The Lancastrian official has refereed a total of 37 games this season issuing 124 yellow cards but no red cards. He has awarded 10 penalties in those 37 games.

Oldham has officiated 248 games in his career so far with most games being in League One and Two.
